Roxys Mat

I found this yarn at Walmart, Lion Brands Hometown USA, its bulky and soooo soft.  I LOVE it.  I originally bought it to try a hat or two for my Etsy shop, but when I found out I was going to be getting my frenchie I decided to make her a mat for the kitchen floor, since thats where she spends a lot of her time until she is house broken.   Its so thick it is very stiff after I worked a huge circle, just like a rug.  It is about half an inch thick.  I just chained 6, joined, worked 8 hdc into the ring, worked 2 hdc into each stitch around, and kept increasing until it got to the size I wanted.
I gave it to her tonight since she hasnt shown any interest in the rug or her blankets (I didnt want her to chew it and choke on any strands).  It has become her spot for the new treats I got her today.  So I guess I will also find out how well it washes.

Roxy

My little frenchie has been with us for a week now.  Shes been pretty well behaved up until yesterday when she went on her first full blown puppy rampage.  She bit anything and everything she could get her teeth on.  Including poor Hurley the maltipoo.  And when I picked him up to save him, she had already gotten a hold of him and held on while she was a few inches off the ground.    We all have little holes on our fingers and toes from her way too strong  jaws.  I think shes part pitbull from somewhere down the line.  Then she goes to sleep and curls up all innocently, like a sweet little angel.
